Job description

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Bramford Road, Ipswich. We offer a permanent 39-hour full-time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week.

Please note that for full-time positions, we generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

We offer an hourly pay rate of £12.50, and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 39 hours of work per week. This means you will earn at least £487 per week. If you're looking to earn more, overtime may be available.

As one of our retail supervisors, you will:

• Be an important part of the management team, supporting the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in your manager’s absence, ensuring customer satisfaction, quick handling of deliveries, and maintaining shop routines for safety, cleanliness, and tidiness.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach.
• To be a ‘people person’ who can build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthiness and reliability, as you will be a key member of a small team.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or similar industries is preferred, but we welcome applicants eager to start their retail management career.
