Job summary

Farmfoods are recruiting an Apprentice Supervisor for our Ferry Road shop in Edinburgh. The role is a permanent full-time position, 35 hours across 5 days per week, with a starting pay of £13.61 per hour. You will learn retail management skills through regular assessor visits, coursework, and a practical hands-on rota system.

You will gain an SVQ Level 3 in Retail Management, with strong training and support, plus opportunities to progress to shop and area manager roles within Farmfoods.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy as there is always something to do; junior management pace.
• Reliable as part of a small team; colleagues and customers depend on you.
• Flexible with shifts; rota planned three weeks in advance; consider holidays.
• Complete Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland check if hired.

Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and hello.
• Help customers find items and provide fast, friendly till service.
• Handle stock and deliveries; place products into freezers and shelves.
• Open/close the shop, manage cash and support the manager to run the team.
