Job summary

Reality Enterprise Ltd is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to run a busy store day‑to‑day, maximise profit and minimise costs while upholding high customer service standards.

You will recruit, train and manage staff, supervise stock levels, analyse sales data and forecast trends, and drive promotions in line with company standards. This role requires excellent communication, team leadership and a proactive approach to merchandising, health and safety, and store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Operations Manager.
• Recruit, train and appraise staff.
• Exceed targets and bring fresh ideas to the business.
• Managing and motivating your team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
• Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control.
• Analyse sales figures and forecasting future sales.
• Analyse and interpret trends to facilitate planning.
• Use MEPOS/AIO to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
• Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff.
• Conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development.
• Ensuring standards for quality and customer service are met.
• Resolving and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and security issues.
• Responding to customer complaints and comments.
• Attending and chairing meetings.
• Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues.
• Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
• Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
