Job description

Position: Store Detective

Location: Canterbury

Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Previous Store Detective experience / 3 years Retail Security Experience plus strong understanding of retail loss prevention required.

Your Time at Work

As a Store Detective you will be responsible for:

• To provide a covert security, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff. Having the ability to be 'invisible' and blend in is crucial.
• You must have a clear understanding of ASCONE to unsure any and all stop are legal and safe.
• You must have a high attention to detail to spot "tells" and suspicious behavior that others might miss.
• Multi-Site Travel: This is a mobile role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel between various sites within the local area.
• Apprehension & Conflict Management: Ability to safely detain shoplifters and de-escalate volatile situations.
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
