Cancer Research UK operates a Bexhill-on-Sea shop seeking a motivated Retail Store Assistant. You will join the trading team, delivering excellent customer service while helping meet sales and fundraising targets. The role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) and fixed-term until 31 January 2027.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available. The role may involve manual handling and occasional keyholder duties with training provided.

Qualifications

• An understanding of what makes great customer service.
• Experience in a busy customer service environment.
• Ability to manage your own workload and work independently when required.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility for rota-based shifts.
• Offer of employment subject to satisfactory DBS check.

Responsabilités

• Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
• Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
• Maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
• Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Supporting fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.
• Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
• Some manual handling and physical activity required daily.
