Job summary

British Red Cross in Exmouth is seeking a friendly Shop Assistant to join our high street shop. You will support the shop manager, handle till operations, and help create an inviting shopping environment while delivering a great customer experience.

This permanent role is Sundays only (7 hours) with a salary of £24,479 per annum pro rata and offers flexible working options, pension, discounts and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a retail environment and are confident with handling money
• Strong communicator who thrives on providing excellent customer service and enjoys meeting lots of different people
• Commercial savvy mindset, with a grasp of hitting targets
• Appreciate and anticipate each customer's needs and delight them with service

Responsibilities

• Assist the shop manager to run a customer-focused shop on the high street
• Create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store
• Operate the till and handle stock sorting and display preparation
• Be the first point of contact for customers on the shop floor
