Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee stores operations, deliver great customer service and lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Starting pay £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in M25 stores, with minimum 16 hours per week and flexible hours available; 18+ to apply. Applications welcome from those who can communicate well, coach colleagues, and respond to daily operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer's needs are met.
