Job summary

TSS in Nottingham is seeking a Retail Security Supervisor to lead security teams and balance customer service with security standards on a busy retail site.

The role includes daily resource planning, team briefings, coaching, and proactive reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager. You will manage emergencies and work with client staff to ensure high security and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the security teams to ensure staff deliver customer service while maintaining security standards and KPI targets.
• Ensure HSSE actions and recommendations are implemented and adhered to.
• Plan daily resources to meet operational demands while complying with working time directive.
• Lead regular team briefings and ensure staff read security notices, instructions and memos.
• Motivate develop and appraise security officers through coaching and performance management.
• Accurate reporting of daily security operations to Loss Prevention Manager using analysis tools and spreadsheets.
• Deliver services including access control, ID monitoring, patrolling, CCTV, and first aid.
• Collaborate with client representatives and colleagues to resolve queries and report team performance.
• Attend and manage emergencies including fire evacuation, first aid, conflict management and physical intervention.
• Participate in projects and carry out other duties as required for personal development.

Position: Retail Security Supervisor

Location: Nottingham

Pay Rate: £14.65 per hour

Hours: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

Principal responsibilities:

• Lead the security teams to ensure all staff are focused on delivering excellent customer service whilst maintaining security standards and achieving departmental KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)
• To ensure that departmental Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) actions and recommendations are implemented and adhered to.
• Through effective planning, deploy resources on a daily basis to ensure operational demands are met whilst ensuring breaks and overtime comply with the working time directive.
• Lead regular team briefings covering key business and department information, and ensure that staff have read and understood security notices, instructions and memos.
• Responsible for the motivation, development and performance of security officers through coaching, monitoring, disciplinary procedures and the performance development process.
• Accurate reporting of the daily security operation to the Loss Prevention Manager and the Cluster Loss Prevention Manager through use of computer-based analysis tools and spread-sheets.
• Ensuring the delivery of services including access control, ID card monitoring, patrolling, CCTV operation and first aid.
• Working closely with client representatives, customers, and colleagues to resolve queries; and to represent the team's performance to the client.
• Attending and managing emergencies, including fire evacuation, first aid, conflict management, and physical intervention.

Other duties

• To participate in projects and working groups and to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit for purposes of personal development or as may be reasonably required by company.
