Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Yeovil. You will provide a visible uniformed deterrent to ensure safety and assist staff and visitors.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and customer service skills, are tech-savvy with digital devices, and hold an SIA licence. The role offers varied hours and ongoing training with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• SIA licence (DS/SG) required.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Comfortable using digital devices and on-line systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to contribute to safety on client premises.
• Follow company policy on loss prevention and safety of staff and visitors.
• Deter troublemakers on site in a lawful manner.
• Observe and report incidents using proper reporting systems.
• Perform duties as assigned by client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff/contractor searches when required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base and uniform display.

Position: Retail Security Officer
Location: Yeovil
Pay Rate: £15.25 per hour
Hours: Various
Shifts: Various

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• Carrying out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observing and reporting incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at the local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assisting, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• Ensuring that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• Conducting yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn and the SIA licence is clearly displayed
