Job summary

TSS are looking for a Retail Security Officer in Dundee with a pay rate of £14.35 per hour and various hours. You will be part of a large international security provider offering training and progression, while ensuring safety and professional service on site.

The role requires an SIA licence and 18+ age, with duties including deterrence, reporting, and maintaining high standards of conduct and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent and ensure safety of staff and premises.
• Carry out loss prevention procedures and ensure safety of visitors.
• Deter potential troublemakers on site.
• Observe and report incidents using proper reporting systems.
• Conduct duties as directed by client or manager.
• Maintain up-to-date site knowledge and local developments.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Keep the security base clean and tidy and wear full uniform with SIA licence on display.

Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour

SG / DS SIA licence required.

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer, your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out the Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring a full uniform is worn, and an SIA licence is clearly displayed
