Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a security officer to protect customer property and assets in line with published Assignment Instructions (AI’s). The role requires compliance with UK law and industry standards, including holding or obtaining a front-line SIA licence and CCTV PSS SIA licence.

You will be responsible for achieving KPIs, maintaining high standards of safety, and supporting continuous professional development through mandatory training and on-going learning.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is required.
• SIA Licence is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Delivering results that meet and/or exceed KPIs/SLA for the customer and support contract retention.
• Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
• Ensure compliance with policies and legal/regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager.
• Complete on-site tasks as defined within published Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
• Review AI’s for changes and suggest amendments to improve service delivery.
• Obtain and renew required front-line licences (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS SIA Licence as contracted.
• Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
• Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
• Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
• Maintain professional conduct with difficult customers.
• Record accurate notebook entries after incidents for the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
• Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot per AI’s.
• Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report incidents.
