Job summary

ASEL in Crawley is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime, patrol the store, and respond to incidents. The role requires a valid SIA licence and strong communication skills to maintain safety and customer service standards.

You will work a 3-week rolling rota with hours totaling 45.5–46 per week, at an hourly rate of £13.50. Full training provided; applications from those with prior retail security experience are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA licence to apply.
• Retail security experience is advantageous but not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, and collaborate with local authorities.
• Patrol the shop floor to deter criminal activity and identify vulnerabilities.
• Complete incident reports with clear, legible details for clients and authorities.
• Carry out guarding duties in-store and manage searches in line with policy.
