ASEL, part of the Argenbright Holdings Group, is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Gillingham to deter crime, monitor vulnerabilities, and assist customers while maintaining a safe shopping environment. The role requires an active SIA licence, the ability to report incidents clearly, and collaboration with local authorities.

Hours are varied and the pay rate is £12.71 per hour. Training will be provided, and candidates must show a 5-year work/history check and right to work documents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA licence to apply.
• Five-year checkable work or education history is required.
• Right to work documents must be provided at interview.

Responsibilities

• Patrol shop floor and deter criminal activity.
• Respond to incidents and complete incident reports.
• Liaise with management and local authorities.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and professionalism.
• Conduct searches in line with policy.
• Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones.
