Job summary

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues. You will follow the site-specific Risk Assessments, set the highest standards as an MITIE employee, and contribute to a safe working environment for colleagues, contractors and customers.

Strong communication and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
• Adaptable communication style to meet different people.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
• Capable in the use of technology.
• Good attention to detail and high level of enthusiasm.
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential; SIA licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• To deliver industry leading customer service.
• To deter violence and public order offences.
• To conduct patrols of the store.
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with store management teams and police as required.
• Report incidents and crime through our leading technology.

Job description

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
• To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
• Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
• To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
• To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers

Main Duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety

Experience of delivering Customer Service
