Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a part-time Retail Security Officer for Morrisons Beccles. The role covers Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 09:00-19:00 and Sunday 10:00-16:00.

You will protect customers, staff and stock, deter theft, and respond to incidents, while delivering excellent customer service. Applicants must hold a valid SIA Licence, be able to obtain DBS/BS7858 clearance, and have strong observational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence requirement (DS or Security Guarding) and DBS/BS7858 clearance
• Strong observational and reporting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proactive, professional approach to safety and security

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and deter theft and anti-social behaviour
• Patrol the store and monitor CCTV for suspicious activity
• Respond to alarms and incidents and escalate as required
• Conduct searches in line with company procedures when necessary
• Complete accurate incident and observation reports
• Work closely with store management and staff on security matters
• Provide a professional and approachable presence and assist customers and staff with queries
• De-escalate challenging situations calmly and in line with site procedures
