Job summary

FGH Security in Edinburgh is seeking a seasoned Retail Security Officer to protect Swatch and nearby stores. The role requires a valid SIA licence and involves patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and engaging with customers to uphold safety and service standards.

Offering an hourly rate of £13.45 plus holiday pay, the position supports a 4 on 4 off or ad-hoc schedule. Candidates should be highly professional with strong report-writing and situational awareness skills.

Qualifications

• SIA licence required (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
• Retail security experience preferred.
• Evidence of 5 year employment/education history on request.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PPE and security equipment on shift.
• Patrol store and monitor CCTV to ensure safety.
• Engage with customers and assist when needed.
• Escort unwelcome customers and report incidents.
• Record incidents with accurate documentation and report to management.
• Protect assets and prevent theft or vandalism.
• Enforce store policies and handle difficult customers calmly.
• Report suspicious behaviour to authorities as needed.
