Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Retail Security Officer to maintain a calm, confident presence on the shop floor and protect people and property. You will help deter theft, handle patrols, and support store teams with a professional, customer-focused approach.

The role offers paid lunch breaks, guaranteed contracted hours, and a structured induction with ongoing training. A valid SIA licence or the willingness to train is required to ensure vetting compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training)
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history (essential for vetting)
• £ 13.23 per hour + Paid Lunch Break

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
