Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect store floors, deter theft and deliver high-quality customer service. You will help create a safe, positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues, with shift patterns flexible and discussed at interview.

The role includes patrolling, operating CCTV, liaising with management, and supporting police partnerships to enhance on-site safety. Experience with CCTV and a proactive, professional demeanour are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA licence or be willing to complete training (we may support).
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history is essential for vetting.
• Proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
