Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting for a Retail Security Officer in Yeovil. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with day and weekend shifts.

The officer will ensure safety for staff and visitors in a busy retail environment and support operations as needed. Transfer to the client on a permanent basis after 12 weeks is required, with benefits including SIA license renewal, cycle to work, tech purchase schemes, and various employee perks.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required to perform the role.
• 5-year checkable work/career history is required.
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handling baskets and assisting customers.
• Greeting customers and helping staff.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Building positive customer relations while managing large crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.58ph

Location – Yeovil

Shift Timings – Full time 40 hours per week- Must be flexible to work day shifts and weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff

• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
