Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Bath to protect staff and shoppers in a busy retail setting. You will patrol premises, assist customers, and monitor entry/exit points, while responding to incidents and maintaining safe conditions across shifts.

The role requires flexibility for day shifts and weekends, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and a £14.90 per hour pay rate. Training and progression opportunities are described in the benefits package.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £14.90ph

Location – Bath Southgate

Shift Timings – Full time 40 hours per week- Must be flexible to work day shifts and weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
