Job summary

BardWood Support Services is hiring a Retail security officer in York. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with day shifts and weekends. You will safeguard staff and visitors, patrol the store, and support smooth operations in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets.
• Greeting customers and helping staff.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive relations and manage large crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.58ph

Location – York

Shift Timings – Full time 40 hours per week- Must be flexible to work day shifts and weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets

• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
