Job summary

Mitie is seeking Retail security officers to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment for customers and colleagues at Asda Heath Town in Wolverhampton.

You will conduct store patrols, deter violence, monitor CCTV and work with store managers to report incidents. This role offers contracted hours, a free uniform, and access to Mitie's training and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering Customer Service.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Adaptable communication style to different people.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
• Capable use of technology and systems.
• High level of enthusiasm and passion for the role.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service.
• Deter violence and public order offences.
• Conduct patrols of the store.
• Utilise CCTV systems to support reduction of crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with store management teams and report incidents.
• Liaise with Police and crime partnerships where required to foster good relations.
• Wear Body Worn CCTV to support safety.

Hours: Mornings, evenings and weekends ( 33 hours )

Location: Asda Heath Town

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
• To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
• Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
• To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
• To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers

Main Duties:

• To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
