Job summary

BardWood Support Services Ltd. is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Sherborne. You will patrol the premises, monitor entry and exit points and help ensure the safety of staff and visitors.

The role features a 45-hour work week with varying shifts and a path to permanent transfer after 12 weeks, plus benefits such as license renewal, cycle to work, and private medical cover.

Qualifications

• SIA license is required.
• 5-year checkable work history.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – £15.62

Location – Sherborne

Shift Timings – 45hours per week. shift timings will vary.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
