Job summary

Cys Security Ltd is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues in our Devon and Torbay stores. This role suits those who stay calm under pressure, deliver great service, and protect people, stores and products with professionalism.

You will be a visible store presence, deter loss, respond to incidents, and use store technology such as mobile reporting and body-worn cameras.

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Join us as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. We're looking for confident, customer-focused individuals who can combine strong awareness with a warm and approachable attitude. You'll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure.

• Customer service is at the heart of the role. You'll create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers as they start shopping with us, while delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• You'll help keep our stores safe and secure. From preventing loss and responding to incidents, to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, you'll play a key role in protecting the retail environment.
• Being digitally confident is essential. You'll use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• You'll stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, you'll always act professionally and confidently.
• Being a team player is crucial. You'll work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Flexibility is vital. Retail moves fast and every day is different. You'll adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed.
