BardWood Support Services in Braehead is seeking a Retail Security Officer to help protect staff and customers in a high-traffic retail environment.

The role requires an active SIA license, a 5-year checkable work history, and physical fitness. You must be flexible to cover day shifts and weekends, with a full-time 40-hour week. After 12 weeks, the role transfers to the client with extensive benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• SIA License required.
• Minimum 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises.
• Hand out baskets to customers.
• Greet customers and assist staff.
• Monitor entry/exit points and investigate disturbances.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive relationships with customers during busy periods.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.58ph

Location – Braehead

Shift Timings – Full time 40 hours per week- Must be flexible to work day shifts and weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.

• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
