Job summary

Mitie Group is seeking a Retail Security Officer to maintain a safe shopping environment, deter theft and deliver excellent customer service on the shop floor. You will work with store teams to protect people and stock, with shifts discussed at interview to suit your life balance.

The role emphasizes a calm, professional presence, with paid lunch breaks and guaranteed contracted hours. Training will be provided, including Body Worn CCTV and collaboration with local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
