Job summary

OSB Group seeks a Head of Business Risk & Control (Retail) to partner with the Retail Executive Leadership Team, driving safe, sustainable growth through effective risk management and customer-focused decisions. Reporting to the Group Controls Office Director, you will lead the Retail risk team and embed a mature first-line risk capability across governance, assurance and change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within first-line Business Risk & Control, Operational Risk, or Enterprise Risk in UK regulated financial services.
• Deep expertise across Enterprise, Operational, Product, and Conduct Risk disciplines with knowledge of FCA/PRA expectations.
• Strategic leader with strong stakeholder management, judgement and change capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Retail Business Risk & Control strategy and first-line risk framework.
• Advise the Retail Executive Leadership Team with risk insight and challenge.
• Drive risk culture, ownership, and continuous improvement across Retail.
• Oversee Product and Conduct Risk management, governance, and Consumer Duty compliance.
• Embed risk management in strategic change, transformation, and third-party partnerships.
• Maintain governance, regulatory engagement and remediation with senior leaders.
