Job summary

Investec in the United Kingdom seeks a First-Line Operational Risk, Controls & Resilience lead to strengthen the risk, control and resilience framework across Corporate Banking. You will partner with senior stakeholders to embed accountability and ensure effective risk identification and management.

Reporting to the COO, you will drive risk assessments, control testing and incident remediation while supporting sustainable growth and resilient operations across lending and transactional banking

Qualifications

• Significant experience in operational risk, controls or resilience within a UK-regulated bank.
• Understanding of first-line accountability and the three lines of defence.
• Experience designing or enhancing risk and control frameworks.
• Knowledge of UK operational resilience and business continuity requirements.
• Experience supporting corporate banking products and end-to-end processes.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the first-line operational risk, controls and resilience framework.
• Partner with business leaders to identify and manage operational risks.
• Drive operational resilience, including service mapping and scenario testing.
• Oversee incident management, remediation and improvements.
• Develop risk reporting and MI to support decision-making.
• Embed risk considerations into business change and third-party relationships.
