Lloyds Bank plc is seeking a seasoned Global Markets Governance, Risk and Controls professional to join our London team. You will act as the First Line of Defence SME for private side and operational risks, shaping a scalable risk framework across Global Markets and ensuring regulatory alignment.

You will lead key risk activities, monitor control effectiveness, and drive remediation with cross-functional collaboration across Front Office, Technology, Operations and Compliance.

Qualifications

• First Line Global Markets risk and controls experience, or COO exposure.
• Strong understanding of Global Markets products, front-to-back processes and non-financial risks.
• Experience managing audit findings, regulatory actions and remediation programmes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the First Line of Defence SME for Private Side Business Risk, Operational, Resilience and Model Risk across Global Markets.
• Support development, maintenance and enhancement of the Global Markets risk and control framework aligning with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
• Lead and coordinate risk management activities including RCSAs, risk events, and governance actions.
• Monitor effectiveness of controls, identify weaknesses and drive remediation through root-cause analysis and action tracking.
• Oversee audit, regulatory and risk actions with evidence, governance and traceability.
• Provide governance of private side activities including information barriers and conflicts management.
• Maintain oversight of model governance activities including inventories, lifecycle, validation findings and remediation.
• Build relationships across Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Audit to promote risk-based decision making.
