Job summary

The Wallace Collection in London is seeking a Retail and Product Development Manager on a fixed term contract. Based in London, you will lead product development, buying and stock control to refresh the core collection and exhibitions.

• Develop new product lines from concept to delivery for core collection and exhibitions.
• Deliver new product ranges to timelines and refresh lines in response to reviews.
• Source and buy stock to fit bespoke merchandise.
• Collaborate with internal teams to secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Liaise with suppliers to source products and maximise margins.
• Process invoices and credit notes for stock receipts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for reconciliation.
• Analyse sales figures for shop and ecommerce against KPIs.
• Deliver quarterly performance reports for trustee papers.
• Develop and maintain the annual budget and KPI targets.
• Maintain stock levels and price products to maximise profitability.
• Oversee stock takes and reconcile inventory data.
• Plan annual stock take and supervise counts.
• Create visual merchandising plans to drive sales.
• Review shop layout and promotions against sales data.
• Ensure cleanliness and merchandising standards on the shop floor.
• Lead recruitment, training and appraisals for shop staff.
• Schedule team rotas to reflect business needs.
