Job summary

Agile Retail is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own the processes, stock flow and standards behind a busy, high-volume retail environment at Trafford Centre, Manchester.

You’ll lead day-to-day operations, manage stock from delivery to shop floor, and ensure accurate inventory and strong stock control. The role requires organised, process-driven leadership and the ability to optimise routines to support customer-facing teams.

Qualifications

• Previous retail operations or stock management experience.
• Experience within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong stock management and inventory control knowledge.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Confidence managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong people leadership and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operational performance of the store.
• Managing stock flow from delivery through to the shop floor.
• Ensuring deliveries are received, processed and replenished efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate inventory and strong stock control processes.
• Leading and developing the operations team.
• Planning workloads and deploying resources effectively.
• Maintaining excellent organisation and standards across back-of-house areas.
• Supporting scheduling, payroll and other key store administration.
• Ensuring operational routines, policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Supporting health and safety, loss prevention and compliance requirements.
• Identifying operational challenges and implementing practical solutions.
• Working closely with the Store Manager and wider management team to support trading priorities.
• Creating efficient processes that allow the customer-facing team to focus on delivering great service.
