Job summary

Agile Retail’s Trafford Centre, Manchester location is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead the store in a permanent, full-time role. You will drive day-to-day operations, coach a large team, and focus on sales and customer experience to deliver strong results.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll own shop-floor leadership, recruit and train staff, manage opening/closing, cash handling, and uphold high standards during busy trading periods.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Manager or retail manager.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume retail.
• Strong people leadership and coaching.
• Commercial mindset with KPIs.
• Excellent organisation and operational discipline.
• Ability to make decisions quickly.
• Flexible to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the store and support the Store Manager.
• Drive sales, conversion and other key store performance measures.
• Coach and motivate a large retail team.
• Maintain customer-first culture and high standards across the store.
• Oversee opening/closing, cash management and key operational processes.
• Respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced trading environment.
