Job summary

Hotel Chocolat is seeking a highly organised Retail Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day operations across our UK retail stores. You will coordinate retail activities, maintain key systems and provide administrative and analytical support to store teams and colleagues nationwide.

The role offers hybrid working with on-site presence at our Mint House Royston office, plus a competitive salary and a generous 50% staff discount on products.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail operations or business support.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP or POS systems would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the retail team and stores.
• Supporting the maintenance and improvement of retail systems and processes.
• Coordinating reports and information to support inventory management and resolve stock-related issues.
• Supporting the implementation of operational policies, procedures and company initiatives across our stores.
• Coordinating key activities and critical paths for new store openings, refurbishments and other retail projects.
• Working collaboratively with teams across the business to ensure smooth and effective operations.
• Maintaining accurate operational, compliance and store communication records.
• Supporting health & safety and operational compliance across our retail estate.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and productivity.
• Managing purchase orders, invoices, supplier communications and other operational administration.
• Responding to operational queries and supporting the resolution of store-related issues.
• Coordinating the Retail Activity Planner, ensuring retail activities are well planned, communicated and delivered effectively.
