Retail Operations Assistant
Full-time (Hybrid)
Earlsfield/Kingston-upon-Thames

Purpose of the role: The principal focus of the role is to provide direct support to the Retail Team, ensuring effective and consistent communication to stores. The role involves various retail duties and projects aligned with the retail strategy. Additionally, the role includes collating weekly and monthly reports for the Retail Team and the wider business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Retail team by coordinating routine reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  2. Capture trade direction and relay information accurately and clearly to stores.
  3. Assist with troubleshooting for stores, liaising with other departments as needed.
  4. Seek solutions and improve working methods proactively.
  5. Maintain key retail information, including store database, regions, and classifications.
  6. Organise retail meetings and workshops, capturing minutes and actions thoroughly.
  7. Support wider business projects, collaborating with other departments.
  8. Assist in planning and delivering events.
  9. Support the launch of new retail initiatives.
  10. Assist with collating team holidays, key dates, and annual events.

Administration:

  1. Perform daily and weekly administrative tasks for the Retail Operations department.
  2. Manage the in-store order fulfilment platform to maintain delivery SLAs.
  3. Prepare weekly reports covering retail KPIs.
  4. Manage key communications to stores, including weekly trade information and directives.
  5. Support in writing and revising retail processes and procedures.
  6. Collate retail survey data and provide analysis where needed.
  7. Provide ad hoc administrative support to the department.
  8. Maintain the Store Information Portal, ensuring data is current and relevant.
  9. Support administrative tasks related to new store openings, closures, and refits.

Key Skills/Experience:

Essential:

  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach at all levels.
  • Confidence in interacting with management and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar retail or related role.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or customer-focused role.
  • Qualifications in business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of GDPR and related processes.
