Tarka Talent Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Consultant – Retail (Merchandising) to help major retailers translate data into real commercial value. You’ll work with senior decision-makers on transformation projects across merchandising, planning and analytics.

You will lead client workshops, assess current processes, design improved operating models and drive technology-enabled changes. Excellent communication, strong analytics and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are essential to

Qualifications

At least five years’ experience in retail merchandising, business transformation, analytics or consulting.
Background in merchandise planning, buying, supply chain, retail IT or a related commercial discipline.
Strong analytical skills, confidence working with large datasets and advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
Understanding of retail systems, business processes and technology-enabled transformation.
Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

Develop practical solutions across merchandising, pricing, planning, analytics and digital transformation.
Lead client workshops, assess current processes and design improved business capabilities and operating models.
Drive technology implementation and transformation projects, collaborating with data and technology specialists.
Present research, commercial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and project leadership.
Build trusted client relationships while contributing to proposals, business development and internal innovation.
