About the Role

As a Retail Manager within our Fragrance department, you will demonstrate a passion for delivering a consistently premium service experience for customers and target the team to deliver additional proactive sales, as well as identify training needs to build confidence in proactive sales.

You will routinely make commercial decisions to maximize trade opportunities, with a particular focus on proactive sales during a time when increasing competition and shifting customer expectations make it essential to engage and convert customers with agility and intent.

Within the role, you will also have the following responsibilities:

  1. Be an excellent motivator and inspirational leader, highly visible on the shopfloor, and implement regular meetings, huddles, and coaching to ensure all colleagues set the standard for excellence.
  2. Understand high-net-worth individuals and lead the team in fostering long-term relationships with these customers.
  3. Oversee and own operational efficiencies in your team, ensuring that processes and policies are applied and adhered to at a high standard.
  4. Demonstrate an eye for profitability and proactively upsell and cross-sell to generate attention to add-on sales or high-profit products.
  5. Nurture and develop colleagues; be confident in providing feedback, focusing on celebrating successes and addressing challenges through coaching or performance management.
About You

To succeed in this role, you must have experience working in luxury retail with an understanding of high-net-worth clients and their needs, as well as a passion for Fragrance and our beauty department. You should also be passionate about identifying and nurturing talent, acting as the guardian of talent within your team. You take pride in developing individuals who demonstrate potential, ensuring they thrive within your division.

You will also possess the following qualities:

  • Be resilient, tenacious, and genuinely open to development feedback. Adapt your style continually to achieve the best outcomes for your people, customers, and the business.
  • Proven experience in analyzing and interpreting multiple data sources with confidence to implement appropriate actions.
