Job summary

Sainsbury's Limited in Grimsby is seeking an experienced General Merchandise Manager to lead store operations and drive exceptional customer service. You will oversee non-food presentation, day-to-day shop-floor and warehouse coordination, and people management including performance, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay.

You may take overall responsibility for running the store in the absence of senior management, ensuring teams deliver for customers.

Qualifications

Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Obsessed with customers and service, coaching teams to raise standards.
Delivers KPIs and performance indicators.
Experience managing complex people matters with fairness.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for managing all non-food products and ensure attractive presentations to delight customers.
Ensure the store runs smoothly from shop floor to warehouse on a daily basis.
Manage performance, disciplinary processes, scheduling and pay for staff.
Occasionally run the store in the absence of senior management, providing direction and support to colleagues.
