Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Soft Services Manager to oversee cleaning, security and maintenance in a fast-paced retail environment in Doncaster. You will lead onsite teams, manage day-to-day operations, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while taking on Duty Manager duties on a rotating basis.

The role requires proven facilities management across services, strong people leadership, and budget oversight. IOSH/NEBOSH and SIA are desirable; UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Proven facilities management experience across cleaning, security, and maintenance.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Experience in HR, employee relations, and Health & Safety management.
• Ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Budget management and financial oversight experience.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and resource management skills.
• Strong communication and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
• Proactive, flexible approach with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Strong written communication for incident documentation.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are desirable.
• SIA Licence desirable.
• Must have existing legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Leading, developing, and supporting cleaning, security, and maintenance teams.
• Managing day-to-day operations to ensure effective service delivery and site coverage.
• Maintaining high cleaning and security standards in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance, risk assessments, COSHH, and site procedures.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, retailers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Supporting recruitment, training, performance management, and employee wellbeing.
• Managing rotas, staffing levels, absence, and holiday planning.
• Driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Supporting security operations, including CCTV, emergency planning, and SIA standards.
• Maintaining accurate records, reporting, and documentation.
