Job summary

Iceland Foods Ltd in Bedford is seeking a committed Duty Manager to join our team as a Retail Assistant with a £2 per hour supplement when managing shifts. The role focuses on strong customer service, stock availability, and leading store tasks.

Key responsibilities include driving sales, engaging with staff to develop skills, and following standard store processes to ensure a smooth, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: focus on availability for customers and drive sales.
• Engage, develop & retain great people: support and develop store staff, promote inclusive culture.
• Doing the right processes and doing them right: follow cash handling and security policies; implement One Best Way processes.
