Job summary

BP Retail is seeking a Temporary Customer Service Assistant in Kettering for an initial 6 week contract. You will work at the Wild Bean Café, delivering friendly service while supporting store operations, stock handling and promotions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Full training is provided, and you’ll join a collaborative team focused on safety, accuracy and customer satisfaction. Applicants aged 16+ are welcome to apply, with opportunities to learn on the job and gain retail experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to take on stock management and café duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of customers and colleagues according to bp policies.
• Serve customers efficiently and respond to needs promptly.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks at Wild Bean Café.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Support bp offers, promotions and loyalty schemes.
• Carry out cleaning duties across store, facilities and forecourt.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that the safety of yourself, your colleagues and our customers, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and completing stock management tasks
• Being proactive in supporting bp’s offers, promotions and loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities and forecourt

This is an initial 6 week temporary contract. As a valued member of the bp retail team, you will receive full training and support to help you succeed in the role from day one.
