Job summary

bp retail in the United Kingdom is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for night shifts. You will serve customers, prepare drinks from the Wild Bean Café, handle deliveries, replenish stock, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

No prior retail experience is required as full online and on-the-job training will be provided. Applicants must be 18+ and can enjoy a 25% discount, pension, share save scheme, and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience desired but not required; training provided.
• Able to work nights and maintain a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Willingness to learn bp policies and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers efficiently and courteously during night shifts.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks from Wild Bean Café.
• Take deliveries and replenish stock as part of stock management.
• Keep store, café and forecourt clean and well maintained.
• Support bp's offers, promotions and loyalty initiatives.
• Maintain a safe working environment following bp policies.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don't expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp's offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
