Job summary

BP Retail on Wirral is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to help customers in a fast-paced retail setting. You will engage with customers, support bp offers and loyalty schemes, and contribute to a welcoming store atmosphere.

Full training is provided; 16+ applicants welcome. You will work flexible hours with opportunities for progression and enjoy staff benefits including discounts and wellbeing support.

• Passion for customer service and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
• Online and on-the-job training provided to develop role-specific skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of yourself, colleagues and customers in line with bp policies.
• Serve customers efficiently and address needs promptly.
• Foster a positive and inclusive store environment.
• Prepare and serve items from the Wild Bean Café.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Promote bp offers, promotions and loyalty schemes.
• Carry out cleaning duties in store, facilities and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
