Job summary

BP Retail in Royal Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team. You will help customers, support promotions and maintain a welcoming store environment.

We value flexible hours and provide training to develop your skills within our fast-paced retail setting at the bp Wild Bean Café.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver friendly customer service.
• Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willing to learn and follow bp training.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.
• Maintain safety for customers and colleagues in line with bp policies.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks from the Wild Bean Café.
• Receive deliveries and manage stock replenishment.
• Support bp promotions and loyalty schemes.
• Keep store, facilities and forecourt clean.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
