Job summary

bp retail is seeking a Customer service assistant in Glasgow. Join a team at the heart of our customer facing roles, supporting shoppers with all their needs in a fast-paced retail environment.

No prior retail experience is required as training is provided online and on the job. You will serve customers, prepare and serve items from the Wild Bean Café, handle deliveries, replenish stock, and promote bp offers and loyalty schemes while maintaining a clean, inclusive store.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service.
• No prior retail experience required; online and on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of yourself, colleagues and customers per bp policies.
• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.
• Foster an inclusive work environment aligned with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks from the Wild Bean Café.
• Take deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Be proactive in promoting bp offers and loyalty schemes.
• Carry out cleaning duties in-store, facilities and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
