Job summary

BP Retail is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work within our store and Wild Bean Café, providing friendly service and supporting promotions and loyalty programs.

We offer flexible hours, training on the job, and a range of wellbeing and financial benefits. Applicants from 16+ are welcome to apply in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• No prior retail experience required; training provided.
• Customer-focused with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of yourself, colleagues and customers in line with bp policies and procedures.
• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment in line with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve items from the Wild Bean Café.
• Take deliveries, replenish stock and perform stock management tasks.
• Support bp offers, promotions and the bp loyalty scheme.
• Carry out cleaning duties in store, facilities and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don’t expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp’s offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
