Job summary

FBR Construction Recruitment seeks an experienced Contracts Manager for a recognised shopfitting retail contractor in the Southampton region. You will oversee large food retail accounts, meet clients to understand their needs, and manage fit-out and new-build works across projects in the UK and Channel Islands.

You will coordinate with estimators and design teams, order sub-contractors, ensure health and safety files, monitor budgets, and lead a team across multiple live projects in the south of

Qualifications

• Experience as Contracts Manager in food retail or similar sectors.
• Proven track record with large food retail accounts (e.g., Tesco, Coop, One Stop).
• Ability to manage multiple projects across the south of England and Channel Islands.
• Strong on-site coordination and supplier/sub-contractor management.

Job description

A recognised shopfitting retail contractor based in the Southampton region has secured a number of food retail frameworks covering projects across the UK and Channel Islands.

Due to the nature of these accounts, they have decided to take on an experienced Contracts Manager ideally with a proven track record in food retail sector with clients which include Tesco's, Coop's and One Stop's including industrial units, commercial fit outs and restaurants.

Duties

• Manage a large retail food account by firstly meeting the client and understanding their needs.
• Taking a project specification brief.
• Liaising with the estimator and design team back at their office.
• After securing the work, project managing the fit out stage and new build works for each project.
• Co-ordinate for materials on site.
• Placing sub-contractors orders.
• Collating relevant Health and Safety files.
• Costing minor projects to a clients specification.
• Managing a team working within the budget given on each individual project and project managing a number of projects running simultaneously in the food retail sector typically across the south of England and Channel Islands.
