Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is hiring an In Store Cleaner for Sainsbury’s South Shields store on a permanent basis. This part-time role is 12 hours per week at an hourly rate of £12.71. Immediate start is available.

You will join a team delivering daily cleaning tasks to maintain high standards, including operating cleaning equipment, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning toilets as needed. Flexible patterns with 5–6 day options, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential
• An eye for detail and cleanliness
• A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service

Responsibilities

• Operating cleaning machinery
• Carrying out cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping
• In-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings and windows when required
• Keeping trolley bays clean and free of leaves and debris
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are applied

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part time In Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's South Shields store on a permanent basis. 12 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

Sunday: Day off

Monday: Day off

Tuesday: Day off

Wednesday: 06:00 to 09:00

Thursday: 06:00 to 09:00

Friday: 06:00 to 09:00

Saturday: 06:00 to 09:00

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied

An eye for detail and cleanliness

A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service
