Job summary

Arcus FM Limited is seeking a part-time In Store Cleaner for Sainsbury's in Kendal. The role is 12 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with an immediate start and various shift patterns including weekends. Training is provided and overtime opportunities may increase hours.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties across the store, operating cleaning machinery, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed. Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Eye for detail and cleanliness.
• Positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning machinery and perform mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows and canopies as needed.
• Tidy trolley bays and outdoor areas; keep areas free of leaves and debris.
• Apply health and safety procedures consistently.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain high store standards.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part time In Store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's store on a permanent basis. 12 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury's stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

Sunday: Day off

Monday: Day off

Tuesday: Day off

Wednesday: Day off

Thursday: 12:00 to 18:30

Friday: Day off

Saturday: 06:00 to 12:30

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury's supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied

A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service
