Join Our Team as a Part-Time In-Store Cleaner

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part-time In-store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's South Shields store on a permanent basis. This role offers 12 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.21. Immediate start is available.

Sainsbury's stores are open 7 days a week, and we offer various shift patterns, including 5 and 6 day working options. Our shifts include early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday: Day Off
• Monday: Day Off
• Tuesday: Day Off
• Thursday: 06:00 - 09:00
• Friday: 06:00 - 09:00
• Saturday: 06:00 - 09:00

You will also have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery
• Carrying out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean
• Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies as needed
• Working outside to keep trolley bays clean and debris-free
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed

Arcus will support you through full training.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided
• An eye for detail and cleanliness
• A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
• Smartphone with NFC capability to access the Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance (a condition of employment)
