Job Title: In-store Cleaner

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company. We are looking to recruit a part-time In-store Cleaner based in Sainsbury's Kelso store on a fixed-term basis until 31 May 2025. The role offers 18 hours per week at an hourly rate of £11.44, with an immediate start available.

Work Schedule

Sainsbury's stores operate 7 days a week. We offer various shift patterns, including 5 and 6-day working weeks, with shifts in the early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening, including weekends. The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday: 06:00 - 10:00
• Monday: Day off
• Tuesday: 06:00 - 09:00
• Thursday: 06:00 - 09:00
• Friday: 06:00 - 10:00
• Saturday: Day off

There is also potential to increase hours through overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning machinery
• Perform thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to maintain store cleanliness
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies as needed
• Maintain outdoor areas such as trolley bays, ensuring they are free of leaves and debris
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Training and Requirements

Full training will be provided. Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.

Necessary qualities include an eye for detail, cleanliness, and a positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service.
